Import Comparison

American Lamb is lean, tender and flavorful and when you buy American Lamb, you can count on freshness.  There are a variety of cuts available year round in many grocery stores, gourmet retailers and butchers shops across the country. If you don't see American Lamb, be sure to ask the meat manager or butcher for the cut you are looking for and ask them where the lamb comes from.
  • American Lamb is raised right here in America so you know it is the freshest lamb available -up to 10,000 miles fresher than lamb from Australia or New Zealand.
  • American Lamb producers are great stewards of the land managing their pasture and rangeland as a sustainable resource.  Producers use great care in shepherding their flocks to protect water and avoid over grazing. Sheep in the U.S. contribute to the environmental balance by grazing vegetation in way that creates healthier land.
  • All American Lamb is either USDA inspected for wholesomeness or inspected by state systems, which have standards equal to the Federal government.
