Superior Farms, a leading supplier of American Lamb based in California, is helping get the party started with a new retail lamb cut that is perfect as a finger food or an appetizer. Superior introduced the new cut, a thin-cut lamb loin chop, at retail in mid-April after it was well-received by the food service industry earlier this year. The thin loin chop, called the “Mini T-bone”, is quick and easy to cook and offers consumers another quality protein option at a great value.
The new "Mini T-bones" are only 1/4-inch thick with a 1/8-inch trim, compared to typical 1-inch thick loin chops. The new cuts are sold in approximately one-pound recyclable trays. Like regular loin chops, the Mini T-bones are great for summer grilling.
"Once people try these, we know they will become lamb lovers," said Gary Pfeiffer, EVP of Sales and Marketing for Superior Farms. "Our new super thin cut lamb t-bones are amazingly versatile, they really absorb flavors and are so easy to prepare," said Pfeiffer. "They are perfect as an appetizer or pass around party food."
